Discover the Freedom of Seeing Life Through God's Truth

Hi, I'm Robin Sampson McCarthy, and I want to personally invite you on a journey that has changed my life — and can change yours too

For years, I believed things that felt true but weren't. Fear, shame, regret, and painful experiences shaped how I saw myself, other people, and even God. Then I discovered that real transformation doesn't begin by changing our circumstances—it begins by changing the way we think.

Romans 12:2 tells us to "be transformed by the renewing of your mind." That's what this class is all about.

Together we'll learn how to:

  • Identify lies and unhealthy thought patterns.
  • Replace them with the truth of God's Word.
  • Discover your identity in Christ.
  • Use Bible journaling to deepen your walk with God.
  • Experience greater peace, hope, and spiritual freedom.

This isn't about positive thinking.

It's about learning to see your life through God's truth.

I'd love for you to join me as we renew our minds, strengthen our faith, and discover the freedom that comes from thinking God's thoughts after Him.

Your transformation begins with one renewed thought at a time.

What Does It Mean to Renew Your Mind?

Many Christians think renewing the mind simply means reading the Bible every day. While Scripture reading is essential, renewing your mind goes much deeper. It isn't another item to check off your spiritual to-do list. It's the lifelong process of allowing God to change the way you think, interpret your experiences, and see yourself, others, and Him.

Romans 12:2 doesn't tell us to think more positively. It tells us to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. Transformation begins when our thinking changes.

A Spiritual Renovation

Imagine buying an old house. Before you can enjoy its beauty, you have to tear out the damaged walls, remove the mold, replace broken wiring, and rebuild on a solid foundation.

Our minds need that same kind of renovation.

Over the years we've collected false beliefs, painful memories, unhealthy thought patterns, fear, shame, bitterness, pride, and assumptions that may feel true but are not. Some were planted by our own experiences. Others came from the words of people who hurt us. Still others came from the world's way of thinking.

God doesn't simply paint over those old walls.

He rebuilds them with truth.

Learning to Examine the Evidence

As a former police officer, I learned that good investigators never build a case on assumptions. They examine the evidence carefully before reaching a conclusion.

Yet many of us do the opposite in our own lives.

We assume:

  • "I failed."
  • "God must be disappointed in me."
  • "I'll never change."
  • "No one loves me."
  • "This will never get better."

Those thoughts may feel true, but feelings are not evidence.

Renewing your mind means learning to hold every thought up to the light of God's Word and asking:

Is this actually true?

If it doesn't agree with God's truth, it doesn't belong in the evidence file.

Replacing Lies with Truth

Renewing your mind isn't about pretending life is wonderful or repeating positive affirmations until you believe them.

It's about replacing lies with truth.

Every day we choose which voice we will believe:

  • fear or faith
  • accusation or grace
  • shame or forgiveness
  • the world's opinion or God's Word

Jesus said, "You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." Freedom comes not from wishful thinking but from seeing life through God's perspective.

Walking With God

Renewing your mind is deeply relational.

It happens as you spend time with God in His Word, talk honestly with Him in prayer, listen for His gentle correction, memorize Scripture, and invite the Holy Spirit to reshape your thinking.

Over time, His truth begins replacing old patterns of fear, guilt, resentment, and despair with peace, wisdom, hope, and confidence.

This is not behavior modification.

It is heart transformation.

A Daily Practice

Renewing your mind isn't something you finish in thirty days.

It's a daily decision to surrender your thoughts to Christ.

Every circumstance becomes an opportunity to ask:

  • What story am I telling myself?
  • What does God say is true?
  • Am I believing assumptions or evidence?
  • How does Scripture invite me to see this differently?

Little by little, God changes not only what you think, but how you think.

Join Me on the Journey

In this 30 Days to Renew Your Mind Bible journal class, we won't simply read Scripture—we'll learn how to think with Scripture.

Together we'll identify old thought patterns, replace false beliefs with biblical truth, and discover the freedom that comes from seeing life through God's eyes.

Because renewing your mind isn't about becoming a more positive person.

It's about becoming a person who increasingly sees reality through the truth of God.
