Three Names. One Powerful Story.

1. Shavuot. In Hebrew, it means “weeks”—a countdown of seven weeks from Passover, day by day, Sabbath by Sabbath.
2. Pentecost. In Greek, it means “fiftieth”—fifty days after the resurrection, echoing that same divine rhythm.
3. Feast of Weeks. In Scripture, it’s the harvest festival when God’s people gathered to give thanks—and received His greatest gifts.

This holiday sits like a jewel in the biblical calendar. It's more than a harvest celebration. More than the giving of the Law. More than tongues of fire and rushing wind. It is a sacred moment—when God meets His people with revelation and purpose.

From Manna to Mission

In this class, we’ll trace the breathtaking connections hidden in Scripture:

🔹 The Omer Offering – A simple sheaf of grain, yet filled with meaning
🔹 Sabbaths of Preparation – Echoes of the manna miracle, and rest before revelation
🔹 The Giving of the Torah – God’s covenant and calling written not only on tablets, but on hearts

Just as the Israelites were nourished with daily manna, preparing their hearts for Mount Sinai, so the disciples waited in Jerusalem—hearts open—for the fire of the Spirit.
